It is hard to find the right dual suspension bike to convert to electric. Numerous problems, space in frame for a battery, suitable bottom bracket if wanting a mid-drive, non-thru-axles if you want a mini-motor. In our time, we’ve come across a few suitable bikes but they are few and far between. This is the Giant Trance X1 that a customer brought in for conversion and is one of the few that are suitable for either a mid-drive motor or a rear hub motor. In this case, the customer chose a small mini-motor and the 14Ah Tiger Shark battery mounted in the frame. It works a treat!
